Who
A small independent editorial team, credited as the Mount Rinjani Trek Guide team, separate from the national park office and from trekking operators.
How
- Sources first. Fees come from the tariff reports, and closure dates from news reports that quote the park head. Trail status comes from the most recent report we can find. When two sources disagree, we print the one closer to the park and note the conflict.
- Every row is dated. Each line in a fact table carries a source link and the date we read it. The first check for this site was 21 October 2026.
- Operator figures are labelled. Heights, summit start times and package prices come from operators’ own sites. They are marked as operator figures.
- Unconfirmed facts are flagged. Examples are the 2026 quota, the insurance amount and Torean’s reopening date.
- Our own working is shown. Road distances are calculated with the OSRM routing engine on OpenStreetMap roads, and the fee totals are simple multiplication.
Why
Rinjani rules changed a lot in 2025–26. The fees went up in November 2025, booking moved to the eRinjani app, and the trails closed for the wet season and again for fire. Many pages that rank for Rinjani still quote old fees or give no date. We wanted one place where each number has a date and a source.
How the site earns money
Some pages link to tours on GetYourGuide. If you book through one of those links, we earn a commission at no extra cost to you.
Corrections
If a park announcement changes something here, the sources page lists what we read and when.
